MAGISTRATE JUDGE

Magistrate Court is located on the third floor of the courthouse, 100 S. Jefferson Ave., East wing, Suite 306, Eatonton, GA 31024. The court’s normal hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, except for holidays.* The court does not close for lunch.

The Court conducts civil and criminal trials in the Magistrate Court courtroom, on the third floor of the courthouse, East wing, most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Bond hearings are held at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:00 PM and on Fridays at 11:00 AM including all federal/county holidays. There are no jury trials in Magistrate Court.
Chief Magistrate Judge Dorothy J. Adams and Magistrate Christine Thomas Holmes are available to sign warrants for law enforcement 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays.
